Senior Frontend Engineer (React)

About the Role

We are looking for a Senior Frontend Engineer to build complex, high-performance user interfaces for mission-critical defence software. You will work on interactive maps, operational dashboards, and real-time data visualisation — products used by people who depend on them. This is not typical product UI work: precision, reliability, and clarity under pressure are the design constraints that matter most.

Requirements

• 5+ years of frontend engineering experience on production systems
• Expert-level React and TypeScript — component architecture, performance patterns, strict type safety
• State management at scale — Redux Toolkit, Zustand, Jotai, or equivalent
• Experience building data-heavy UIs: dashboards, tables, charts, real-time feeds
• Web performance — bundle analysis, lazy loading, rendering optimisation, Core Web Vitals
• Web accessibility — WCAG 2.1 AA, semantic HTML, keyboard navigation, ARIA
• Comfortable working under NDA and security clearance conditions
• Fluent Ukrainian or English

Nice to Have

• Mapping library experience — Mapbox GL, Leaflet, deck.gl, or Cesium
• WebSocket and real-time data handling
• WebGL or Canvas-based rendering
• Experience in defence, GIS, or safety-critical software
• Design systems knowledge — component library authoring, design tokens
